Our Story
Over 75 years ago a twelve year old boy named Jack and a friend were hiking to the top of Big Pocono. On their way, they discovered a jewel of a lake in one of the most spectacular mountain settings in Northeastern Pennsylvania. That jewel would become Mountain Springs Lake Resort. Jack and his wife Marjorie built their Resort and family over the years.
As their family grew, so did Mountain Springs Lake, including the historic inn known as The Lodge. In the early 1980’s The Lodge became a favorite fine dining spot in the Poconos. With the addition of The Verandah in early 2000, The Lodge began sharing the same attention to detail and culinary skills to wedding guests.
Charming cottages, beautiful scenery, and the Pocono Mountains’ premier wedding and event facility is today’s Lodge at Mountain Springs Lake. The standard of quality established over 70 years ago by Jack and Marjorie Rader continues today as their children and grandchildren join them in preserving a proud family tradition of hospitality and generosity.
